“Meditative awareness is accessible to all who search for it; it can always be reached by delving into the nature of experience… But this may be very difficult to understand without first knowing how to transmute our emotions and how to transcend our obstacles.  When we can do this, then all that we do will be helpful.” Tarthang Tulku.
This course looks at how to identify and overcome the most common obstacles to meditation: sleepiness, overactive thoughts, and “dreaminess,” in order to strengthen concentration and awareness. In the process, we expand our understanding of meditation to include all aspects of experience. Readings from Openness Mind.

Prerequisite: One year of meditation experience or consent of Instructor. No class on January 23.
