Keys to coping with stressful times come to us from the Tibetan tradition. They include meditation, movement, and awareness exercises that can melt tension in the body and mind. This workshop presents a series of easy exercises to help you relax and be ready to respond vibrantly to life’s challenges. The workshop includes ways to reverse addiction through the use of visualization and meditation.

KNR419 Kum Nye Self-Massage & Movement

Our feelings and bodies are like water flowing into water. Students will be led through selected Kum Nye self-massage routines and movement practices for the feet, hands and face that promote relaxation and healing, and deepen the sense of physical presence.

KNR420 Art Of Sitting Comfortably

This workshop is for you if you’re new to meditation, have posture problems, or are simply not sure how to sit comfortably for meditation. Donna will lead participants through a motion assessment of back, hips, knees, and ankles, shoulders and neck. She will then introduce a variety of sitting strategies and will tailor a personal home program of Kum Nye exercises for each student to address specific motion limitations.

This workshop offers a half day of guided self-exploration, supportive practices, and practical problem solving. Personalized instruction in how to sit comfortably is given by Nyingma instructor and physiotherapist Donna Morton. Includes vegetarian lunch at 1 pm.
